Review of further education finances in progress

The aim is to check whether the Welsh Government are confident that further education institutions in Wales are financially well placed to deliver the Welsh Government’s expectations.
The institutions have their own management and audit arrangements in place, but the study team will visit some of the colleges to discuss how they have adjusted to reductions in government funding.
The study is expected to be published in the autumn of 2016.

Wales Life Sciences Investment Fund

The Auditor General has today published his report on the establishment and oversight of the Wales Life Sciences Investment Fund. The report looked at the establishment, governance, oversight and early operation of the Fund and examined whether the Welsh Government and Finance Wales established the Fund and oversaw its initial operations (including its first three investments) effectively.
