  • Overall, we found that despite work to drive operational service improvements, the Health Board’s approach until recently did not achieve the desired positive impact on planned care performance. Consequently, the waiting list substantially grew during 2024. There is a risk that recent improvements are unsustainable and reliant on additional short-term funding. The Health Board, therefore, urgently needs a financially and clinically sustainable plan to meet growing service needs and secure improvements in planned care performance.
